Creation of a multimodal user localization platform
Imagine.IT, the first Business Cluster in Vietnam
An IT business cluster is a geographic concentration of interconnected businesses, suppliers, researchers and local collectivities. Clusters are considered to increase the productivity with which companies can compete, nationally and globally.
My mission was to contact local and international companies to be the first active members of the cluster. The grand opening took place November 16, 2009 at the Hanoi University of technology.
User's localization in a smart area
It doesn't exist the perfect technology to know in real time and in 3D the position of a user. GPS works well oustide for example for navigation systems. For new services, we need to know precisely at which floor and in which room the user is.
My project was to design a system that can combine heterogeneous technologies like Wifi triangulation, GPS, CCTV... to localize users in a specific area.
